I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in New York in 2009, moved to California and began working with clients with eating disorders in the residential setting.  In addition to my private practice, I have worked at the inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient levels of care.  I have extensive experience with depression, anxiety, eating disorders and addiction as well as general relationship/family issues.

My approach combines psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapeutic interventions.  To put it simply, we'll examine your past, evaluate your present and take steps towards your desired future.  I'm an active collaborator who will work with you to achieve your goals.   I believe in accenting and utilizing your strengths so that you incorporate them into your daily life.  I will support you and challenge you.  I believe that any gains from therapy are in direct proportion to the participation of the client.  In other words, I expect you to work at your therapy.

I believe very strongly in a mind/body connection. For optimal mental health you must attend to the needs of your body. Diet and exercise are part of a healthy lifestyle.  I have participated in marathons, triathlons and other running events.  I also believe strongly a healthy work/life balance. I value downtime with my wife, our dog and our friends and love living life to the fullest.  I will bring my positive, goal-oriented attitude to our time together.
